Golden Wonder Killifish (Aplocheilus lineatus) is a semi-aggressive freshwater fish that reaches about 10 cm (3.9 in) and swims near the surface. It wants 72–77°F (22–25°C) and pH 6.5–7.5, can be kept singly, and needs a tank of at least 90 L (24 gal).

Before it goes in
- Golden Wonder Killifish needs at least 90 L (24 gal). The smallest size in this library that clears that is the 29 Gallon.
- It eats small fish and shrimp — anything under about 3.5 cm (1.4 in). In this library that means Cherry Shrimp, Crystal Red Shrimp and Bamboo Shrimp.
- It is the wrong size to share a tank with Oscar, Clown Loach and Iridescent Shark: it ends up as food.
- It holds at 72–77°F (22–25°C). That shares a window with Betta and Cherry Shrimp, but not with German Blue Ram and Discus.
- It is semi-aggressive — plan the tank around it rather than adding it to a finished community.
- It jumps. An open-top tank needs a lid or a low water line.
- One of them takes up roughly 17% of what a 29 Gallon will comfortably hold, so plan the rest of the stock around it.
